• complying with the requirements set forth in Part 265 while storing and/or disposing of hazardous waste;

• label containers with words “Hazardous Waste” or with other words that identify the contents;

• properly date containers;

• labeled or marked clearly with the words, “Hazardous Waste”;

• maintained and operated to minimize the possibility of a fire, explosion, or any unplanned sudden or non-sudden release of hazardous waste;

• make arrangement with local emergency response agencies;

• post the locations of the fire extinguishers, spill control material and fire alarm next to the telephone; and

• ensure that all employees are thoroughly familiar with proper waste handling and emergency procedures, relevant to their responsibilities during normal facility operations and emergencies.
