The Corrective Action Program oversees the assessment and cleanup of sites where releases to the environment have occurred. Once owners and operators notify the section that a spill has occurred, the program’s staff work with evironmental consultants to ensure the highest quality cleanup possible. Once a clean up is under way, the program samples wells and monitors the consultants’ work. Technical assistance visits are also available to train and inform owners, operators and consultants. Trust fund claims are pre-approved by this program. They also review technical reimbursement requests.
